My Favourite Kitchen Appliances for Quick, Healthy Meals

When it comes to making healthy meals for my family, having the right tools in the kitchen makes all the difference. Today, I want to share three of my absolute favourite kitchen appliances that I use almost every day — and how I use them to make delicious, nutritious recipes for toddlers, kids, and adults alike.

1. Vitamix
The Vitamix is one of my all-time favourite kitchen tools. It makes the smoothest, creamiest smoothies in just seconds — and it can handle everything from frozen fruits to nuts, seeds, and even fresh ginger. I love tossing in a handful of spinach or kale for extra nutrition, and the Vitamix handles it all effortlessly.
I also use it to make creamy soups. Once my vegetables are cooked on the stove, I blend them in the Vitamix with a can of beans for added protein — and just like that, you have a healthy, filling soup in minutes!

2. Instant Pot
The Instant Pot has completely changed the way I make soups and grains. I can prep everything, toss it in the pot, clean up the kitchen, and walk away while it cooks everything to perfection — not mushy, still packed with nutrients.
I use it constantly for soups, stews, and even grains like brown rice, barley, farro, and rolled oats. No matter what I cook, it always comes out perfectly cooked every time. For busy parents or anyone juggling a hectic schedule, it’s a total lifesaver.

3. Food Processor
I absolutely love my food processor. It’s so versatile and helps me make recipes in minutes. I use it for protein balls, cookie dough with wholesome ingredients like dates, peanut butter, and seeds, and it’s perfect for crunchy coleslaw thanks to the different blade attachments.
It’s also amazing for making hummus, chopping vegetables, and prepping ingredients for meals quickly. Honestly, it’s one of the appliances I rely on most when I’m cooking for my family.
